Thanks to Hip2Save for posting about this fun freebie.

Tool Libraries; Who Knew?

The sheer brilliance of this idea is in it's simplicity. Have you or your spouse ever needed a specific tool for a project that you don't have? And then you think "Great, now I have to go & spend more money just to get this done." Well, you may not have to do that any longer, thanks to tool libraries!

Yes, you read that correctly. Tool libraries are popping up all over the US, Canada, & Australia. Currently there are tool libraries in 16 states. Click here to see a list of locations. Here's the link to Seattle's tool library, the Phinney Neighborhood Association's Tool Library. The Seattle tool library asks for a suggested donation amount per tool, but others let you borrow them for free. However, even if you did make a donation, it's much cheaper than buying the item.

Maybe I'm easily amused, but I think this is fantastic. Thanks to Frugal Living NW for posting this!

Free TurboTax Download

OK, so I realize taxes aren't something any of us find fun. And paying to have them done for you is like adding insult to injury. But if you're going to file a 1040EZ return, you can do it & file electronically for free! Click here to download the free edition from TurboTax.

Thanks to Deal Seeking Mom for posting this timely freebie!

Graco Metrolite Pink Stroller $62.99 1/30

Today only at Target.com you can get the Graco Metrolite Jessa Pink Stroller for $69.99 with free shipping. Use code: URTYJLI8 to get another 10% off, bringing it down to $62.99 + tax.

I haven't heard the best things about Graco strollers, but I didn't own one, so I have no first hand experience. But, if you know someone who has or is having a little girl, this would be one pink, pricess-y stroller to buy! It is pretty darn adorable, if I do say so.

Thanks to Living Rich with Coupons for the deal!

Mega Swagbucks Day

I forgot to mention when I explained how Swagbucks worked that Fridays are MEGA Swagbucks days! You may get lucky & earn up to 100 Swagbucks instead of the usual 1 or 2. I would freak out if I won 100 Swagbucks!

Also, there should be a new Swagcode under the Special Offers tab. Just click through all the offers (hit skip), get your Swagcode, go back to the home page & enter it to see how many Swagbucks you've won. It's that easy.

Happy Swagging everyone!

Free Kids Craft 1/30/10

Head over to your local Lakeshore Learning tomorrow (Jan. 30th) between 11-3pm for the free kids craft. The project this week is called "It's My House Key Holder" & is obviously a key holder that kids get to decorate with beads, buttons, shells, etc. This would make a great gift for grandparents for Valentine's Day.

If you want to make a day of it, grab this free breakfast entree when you buy another coupon for Ruby’s Diner. Let someone else make breakfast then head over to Lakeshore Learning & you’ll have a great day out with your kids without spending a small fortune.

Coffee Talk

Remember that old SNL skit, "Coffee Talk"? Let's channel our inner Mike Meyers & dish. I posted a poll about spending habits for January 2010. I'm curious to see if you guys have changed your spending habits. So, vote in the poll, then come back & leave a comment about what has or hasn't changed with your budgets, spending, etc.

Don't stress, this isn't a quiz that's graded! I'm just curious if my peeps are changing any behaviors (trust me, I have!). And don't worry, there won't be any judgement here. If a comment turns nasty or judgemental, it will be deleted. I'm not too worried about that though; we're all here to support each other.

Now....talk!

Free Pampers 1/29/10 Only

So, I know quite a few ladies who are currently pregnant & I am sure this will get their hormones raging! Tomorrow only, click here to win a sample of 3 new Pampers diapers. These diapers won't even be sold until March, so you'll get the inside scoop from Pampers this way.

But wait...it doesn't stop there. These new Pampers Cruisers with Dry Max are the official diaper of the Team USA (yeah, I know....it's hard not to laugh at this...but Olympians have kids in diapers, too). And, if your sample contains a diaper stamped with "Team USA" .....you get free diapers for a year!

I'm not sure what time the sample request will go live, but if I were trying to score diapers, I'd be up bright & early tomorrow. Heck, I may even try to get a sample & donate it; there is always a need for free diapers at churches, food banks, shelters, etc.

Thanks to Free Sample Freak for posting about this exciting deal!

BOGO Sobe Coupon

Click here for a BOGO Sobe Lifewater coupon. I haven't tried the Lifewater drinks yet, but I do love the other Sobe drinks, so I'm assuming these are good, too.

PlanetBox Lunchbox Giveaway

PlanetBox has stainless steel Bento style lunchboxes that you can purchase. My favorite part about them (aside from being a safer, more eco friendly alternative) is the interchangeable magnets you can buy to change the look of them. How cool is that?

But right now, Mommy Goes Green is giving one away to a lucky reader! Head over to her blog to get the deets on how to enter this contest.

Thanks, Mommy Goes Green!

40% off Entire Purchase at Shutterfly

My friend Andrea is hooking us all up with another great photo deal. Through 2/2/10 you can get 40% off your entire purchase at Shutterfly by using code: FORTY at checkout. Just in time for Valentine's Day!

Thanks for sharing, Andrea!

30% off Everything at Old Navy Fri. & Sat.

There will be no new coupons on Old Navy Weekly this week, but tomorrow & Saturday they are offering 30% off everything in the store (except on gift cards). This should make for some awesome deals!

Thanks to Alaska Coupon Diva for sharing this.

$40 Gift Card to Buenos Aries Grill for $20

If you live in the Puget Sound area, this deal would make for a fun night out. Today on you can click here & buy a $40 gift card for only $20 to the Buenos Aries Grill. This restaurant gets mixed reviews & it seems like people either love it or hate it. But, this would certainly make it worthwhile to try out a new restaurant.

If you go, let me know what you think of it!

15% off 1 Item at Diapers.com

So, I know...you're thinking "I don't need diapers." But, Diapers.com sells all kinds of stuff....toys, clothing, Klean Kanteens, the list of possibilities is endless. Use code: 15PCTTY at checkout. Shipping is free for orders of $49 or more & is lightening quick. My last order arrived the next day! This code is valid until 1/31/10.

New Cellfire eCoupons

Cellfire has new eCoupons for you to load on to your grocery store rewards card. If you shop at Fred Meyer, put another zip code in (I use 75258) & select Kroger, enter your Fred Meyer rewards card number & you’re set. For QFC or Safeway you can use your regular zip code.

Remember you can stack these with both in ad coupons & other manufacturer coupons. Simply hand the clerk the paper coupons first, then swipe your membership card & the eCoupons will come off as well. If you swipe your card first, you will likely not be able to use both the paper coupons & the eCoupons. No one seems to know why, but just swipe your card after the paper coupons & you should be set.

Milwaukee 4 Tool Combo Kit

My husband is addicted to tools....like, seriously addicted. And if he says this is a good deal, then I believe him.

Right now on Amazon you can purchase a Milwaukee 18 Volt Ni-Cad Cordless 4 Tool Combo kit for $299.99 with free shipping. The unit is refurbished & they state the regular retail price is $965.00. I found a similar set for $699.99, so this does appear to be a bargain. I realize $300 doesn't seem that inexpensive, but I suppose if you compare it to the regular price, it's a steal.

I'm pretty confident anyone would want this in their shop or garage, so if you know someone looking for some new tools, tell them about this deal before it sells out!

New Walgreens Printable Coupons

Walgreens has a new printable coupon ad out & this time it's good until 2/27/10! You may get lucky & find some printed in your store (last time I did find some in my local Wags) or you can jut print them from the PDF file. Remember, these are Walgreens coupons & can be combined with a manufacturer coupon (just give the MQ to the clerk first, then the Wags coupon).

The coupons you can print out are:

Smokin' Quaker Sale at Albertsons

Starting tomorrow, Albertsons will be running a smokin' hot sale on Quaker products. Here's the scoop: You must buy products in batches of 5, but you are free to mix & match items. Some will be $1 each (WYB5) & some will be $1.40 (WYB5).

$1 items
  • Cap'n Crunch Cereal
  • Life Cereal
  • Oatmeal Square Cereal
  • Quaker Pancake Mix (I've had this & while we don't love it, we don't hate it either)
  • Aunt Jemima Pancake Mix
  • Quaker Chewy Granola Bars or Dipps
  • Quaker Breakfast Cookies
  • Quaker Instant Oatmeal

$1.40 items

  • Aunt Jemima Syrup
  • Quaker Oats 42oz

Now, there are several coupons out there that will make this deal even better. Click here to "Make Your Own Day" & print out a $1/1 coupon for Quaker oatmeal. Or try this $1/2 boxes of Quaker granola bars coupon. Or try this $1/1 Quaker oatmeal coupon.

Here's a sample scenario:

Buy 3 boxes Quaker Instant Oatmeal & 2 boxes of Quaker Granola bars: $5

- $1/1 Quaker oatmeal coupon (x3) = -$3

- $1/2 Quaker granola bars = -$1

Total: $1 for 3 boxes of instant oatmeal & 2 boxes of granola bars!

Lastly, I'm hearing rumors of doublers in Albertsons ad in Sunday's paper. If so, you could do the above deal & possibly get overage towards other items! Let me know if you score any deals with this sale.

Thanks to Fabulessly Frugal, Hip2Save, & Frugal Chic Living for posting the links to the coupons!

UPDATE: Free E.L.F. Mini Makeup Kit

This free mini makeup kit deal I posted yesterday gets even better! Use code: LOYAL & get the kit free with any purchase. Yes, you can buy a $1 item, get the kit for free, & just pay $1 + shipping! I did this deal back in November & it cost me around $7.95 total, if I'm remembering correctly.

Thanks to Coupon Geek & The Thrifty Mama for this even sweeter deal!

EO Products Warehouse Sale

Yesterday I got an email from EO Products that they are having a massive warehouse sale on their products & just now read it. My bad, because it's for a pretty sweet sale! If you aren't familiar with EO, they sell skincare products such as soap, lotion, hand sanitizer, etc. & many (but not all) items are certified organic. The sale prices are pretty amazing, too!

However, it gets even better. Organic Deals & Coupons posted an online code that gives you an additional 15% off. Use code: eofacebook at checkout. Shipping is free if you spend over $75.

Thanks to Organic Deals & Coupons for sharing the additional 15% off code.

50% off & Free Shipping at Expressionary

Expressionary has a 50% off sale going on & that includes clearance items! Use code: FRIEND to score the extra discount & free shipping!

Thanks Living Rich with Coupons for posting this!

Wanna Swag?

I realize this post title may sound a bit obscene, but I assure you this will be G rated. I wanted to take a moment to briefly explain Swagbucks in case you're unaware of what they are or how they work.

Have you seen that little box in the left sidebar that says "Earn Free Prizes" & wondered what it's for? Well, it's for Swagbucks which is a website that give you points (Swagbucks) for doing things you already do; namely searching for things online. See, Swagbucks is essentially a search engine & you randomly earn Swagbucks while searching for things online. Don't be mistaken & think the results will be inadequate, because Swagbucks results come from Google & Ask.com. You accumulate Swagbucks & then cash them in for prizes. There are specific items to choose from or you can opt for gift cards from retailers such as Amazon, Barnes & Noble, PayPal, & more.

Now, if you click here (or the box in the left sidebar) you can go create your own Swagbucks account. Doing so will give me a few extra Swagbucks & I'm not above begging for them. However, I wouldn't be recommending Swagbucks if I didn't think it would be beneficial to you as well. I would never sell my peeps out just for a few Swagbucks!

My guess is you'll love Swagging (I totally made that word up) as much as I do & be surprised by how quickly you accumulate Swagbucks. Try it out; what do you have to lose?

Free Oreos

Head over to Facebook & become a fan of Oreos. Then click the "DSRL News" tab & request a coupon for a free package of Oreos. I didn't post this earlier because it's only for the first 150,000 people who sign up, but according to my friend Mariah, they are still accepting names. I just signed up & it worked so hurry!

Thanks Mariah!

12x18 Photo Canvas $9.99 w/free s/h

Artscow has another great photo deal! Create a custom 12x18 photo canvas for only $9.99 with free shipping! Plus, you can get each additional canvas for $6.99 with free shipping. Use code: 12X18CANVAS at checkout.

Keep in mind that these ship from Asia so shipping can take a while. I doubt they would get here in time for Valentine's Day, but you might get lucky.

Free Cream of Wheat

Maybe I'm weird, but I've never had cream of wheat. So I figure, why not get a free sample to see if I like it. Nothing gained, right? Click here to get your free sample of cream of wheat.

Thanks to my friend Vicky over at Frugal Method for posting the deal!

Free Breathe Right Nasal Strips

My friend Coleen reminded me that you can still score a sample of Breathe Right Nasal Strips by clicking here & clicking on the blue "try a free sample" button. I'll admit it: I snore. There, I said it. And I got a sample of these strips a few months ago & have to say...these helped a lot. Or, at least my husband would say these helped a lot!

Plus, you get a coupon with the sample. If I'm remembering correctly, it's a $4 off coupon. That's a high value coupon, but I have no idea what these sell for, so they might still be a tad expensive. But, if you can get a better night's sleep....or your significant other can....hey, that's money well spent in my book.

Don't forget Old Navy's Clearance Sale

I know I blogged about this before, but Old Navy has marked down their clearance items an additional 50% off the already reduced prices. Plus, you can go to Old Navy Weekly & see if there are any hidden coupons left & use a coupon on top of the sale.

Why am I telling you this again? Because I went today with my 20% off entire purchase coupon from Old Navy Weekly & got my daughter 1 pair of jeans (I'm not sure I'm in love with these jeans, but for $5.20 how bad can they be?), 3 shirts, & 2 fabric holiday totes (10 cents each...why not buy them for next year?) for $11.28 including tax. You know you did well when the clerk says "Wow, you really know how to shop."

The clearance area is pretty picked over, but it is definitely worth your time to go see if you can find any deals.

Free E.L.F. Mini Makeup Kit

If you've never used E.L.F. cosmetics, they are definitely worth a try. Most items are priced between $1-$3 & can be purchased online or in some Target stores. A few months ago I ordered a $1 item & paid $7 in shipping because I wanted the free kit they were offering at the time. I'll say this: Some of the products were outstanding (seriously, almost as good as my MAC products) & some were utter garbage. But for $8 total, I wasn't complaining.

So, E.L.F. has another promo going on. Right now if you buy $10 worth of products, you can get this mini makeup kit free. It includes 9 eyeshadow shades, 1 cream eyeshadow, 1 blush, 1 bronzer, 10 lip gloss shades, 1 brow powder, 1 eye liner pencil, 1 dual ended eyeshadow applicator/brush, 1 face brush, & 1 lip brush. Use code: REDMINI to get this freebie added to your order.

You'll likely pay about $7-9 in shipping, but for less than $20, you'll get a ton of new products to try. Like I said earlier, the quality is either fantastic or pathetic, but even if only half the items are good, it's still a bargain for makeup that has great pigmentation & is long lasting.

Additionally, if you purchase any nail item, you will get this 4 sided nail block free (no code needed; while supplies last). Buy a $1 nail polish & use that towards your $10 puchase for the free kit & get the free nail block too!

50 Spray Roses for $19.99 shipped

This is a great deal! 1-800-flowers.com has this bouquet of 50 spray roses on sale for $24.99 (blooms only; it's more if you want the vase). Enter code: fb20 to score an additional 20% off, bringing the total down to $19.99. Pick a date in February with free shipping (there are many options) & you'll get these for $19.99 + tax.

Men, remember there's this little holiday coming up called Valentine's Day & this would be perfect. Ladies, feel free to send this link to your significant other as a not so subtle hint!

Thanks to Hip2Save for posting this deal.

FM Transmitter for iPod or Zune $14.99

Today only at woot they are offering Phillips iPod or Zune FM transmitter/chargers for only $9.99 + $5.00 shipping. This is a crazy low price if you want to be able to play your iPod or Zune through your vehicle's speakers! Sure, it isn't a fancy, hardwired system....but c'mon, it's only $14.99!

If you want it, get it now, because I'm sure these will sell out fast.

February SCR starts today at Rite Aid

Today is the first day in Rite Aid's Single Check Rebate (SCR) program for the month of February. Yes, I realize today is Jan. 24th; Rite Aid doesn't run this program on a calendar month.

Click here to get all the details on this month's rebates. There are 104 offers totalling $517 worth of potential savings.

Additional 20% off at Disney Outlet

Disney's outlet is offering 20% off their already reduced prices. Use code: OUTLET20 when checking out. They have clothing, costumes, home decor, & more on sale so you'll likely find something interesting. Hurry though, as many items are quickly selling out.

Walgreens Money Maker

UPDATE: Thanks to CJ for reminding me that Wags in-ad coupons do NOT beep when used with a MQ, so you don't need a filler item to do this deal. Interestingly enough, Register Rewards do count as a coupon, though. I know, it can be confusing! But to do this moneymaker, you do not need the filler item. Thanks, CJ!

This week Walgreens has a deal where you can possibly earn $2.79 or at least get a Sure for Men Deodorant free! These normally retail for $2.79 each. Here's the details:

Clip the $1.50/1 Sure for Men Deodorant coupon from the Smartsource insert in today's (1/24) paper. Then clip the 2/$3 coupon in Walgreens ad in today's (1/24) paper. Head into Walgreens & look for the Sure for Men deodorant & be on the lookout for one that has a "Try Me Free" sticker on it. Not all of them have that sticker on it, so it would be worth your time to look at all of them (FYI, the one I saw with this sticker was the Mountain Frost scent).

Now, if you're not familiar with how Walgreens handles coupons here's the nuts & bolts of it: You cannot use more coupons than you have items in your total purchase. So in this case, you're using 2 coupons for 1 deodorant, so you will need to add a small "filler" item to your total purchase. Look for cheap things up front like the 39 cent packages of microwave popcorn, 39 cent pencils or pens, etc. You just need 1 other item & it can be any price.

So when the clerk is done ringing up your 2 items (deodorant & 1 filler item) hand over the manufacturer coupon first, then the Walgreens in ad coupon. The $1.50 will come off & then the in ad coupon will adjust down to $1.29 making the deodorant free. Then if you were lucky enough to find a stick with the "Try Me Free" sticker on it, you can go to Sure's website & print a rebate form, submit it, & make a profit of $2.79 when you get the rebate check. Pretty sweet for simply clipping 2 coupons & sending off the rebate form!

Free Pop Chips

Click here & enter 3 friends (I put my husband down & then 2 others) to receive a free sample of Pop Chips. I didn’t enter their emails, & it went through just fine, so don’t worry about spamming them.

Thanks to Deal Seeking Mom for posting this freebie!

Sunday Coupon Preview

According to Sunday Coupon Preview, here's what we can expect in tomorrow's paper. Some of these vary by region, so don't be surprised if there are some missing or some extras that you get.

Some of you may be wondering why a coupon preview is necessary. I suppose it isn't, but it is nice for several reasons. First, you can plan your shopping trips early if you like to do your grocery shopping on Sunday. Secondly, & this is the biggest benefit in my opinion, if there is a coupon for an item that you really need or want, you might want to consider purchasing more than one newspaper to get several coupons for that item. Of course you need to determine if the savings from the coupons will offset the price of the paper, but redeeming 1 or 2 coupons will typically do that.

Big Lots Coupon

I've never been to a Big Lots but I know people can find great deals there. They don't take manufacturer's coupons, so typically you don't get a lot of discounts.

Here's a coupon for 20% off your entire purchase at Big Lots & it's valid from 1/23/10-1/31/10. It's a PDF so you can print off multiple copies as well.

Thanks to Thrifty NW Mom for posting this. Although my husband might not want to thank her, because I might go & spend a ton of money!

Free Kids Activity Saturday

Head over to your local Lakeshore Learning tomorrow (Jan. 23rd) between 11-3pm for the free kids craft. The project this week is a Fuzzy Felt Wallet & looks very cute.

If you want to make a day of it, grab this free breakfast entree when you buy another coupon for Ruby's Diner. Let someone else make breakfast then head over to Lakeshore Learning & you'll have a great Saturday with your kids without breaking the bank.

Art2Wear Denim at Avenue $19.99

The last daily deal from Avenue this week is valid today only & is on their Art2Wear denim. Print this coupon & use it in-store & they will be priced at $19.99. Unlike the other daily sales this week, there is no limit specified on the coupon.

This will mean some screamin' deals, but don't wait because things will start to sell out!

Thanks to Babycheapskate for the online code.

New Old Navy Weekly Coupons

Old Navy Weekly has reset their coupons for the week! Just like always, you will need to hunt for the coupons & you can only print one coupon out to use. Here are the ones I found:
  • 15% off any in-store purchase: Click on the right side of Eva, the mannequin wearing the khaki skirt in the main photo.
  • $10 off any in-store purchase of $50 or more: Click on Eva's bracelet.
  • $15 off any in-store purchase of $75 or more: Immediately after closing out the previous coupon, click on the dressing room door (you must do the $10/$50 one first)
  • $5 off an in-store purchase of $25 or more: Click on the small blue "click to see Kelly" box then click on Kelly's scarf.
  • 20% off any in-store purchase: Click on Kelly's grey pants & then click on the same grey pants in the upper right side column.
  • $50 off any in-store purchase of $100 or more: Click Eva's skirt, then click the bouncing ball that bounces in front of the dressing room. Update: These have all been claimed already.

I think that's all of the coupons, but if you find one & I missed it, let me know & I'll update this posting.

Free Calendar from Shutterfly

My friend Andrea told me about another great photo deal! Through Jan. 27th, Shutterfly is offering a free 12 month calendar. Log in, create yours, add it to your cart & at checkout use code: NEWCALENDAR. You will only have to pay shipping, which I have always found to be reasonably priced.

Wow, there are just a ton of great photo deals out there right now. Not that I'm complaining!

Product Review: TastyBrand Fruit Snacks

Typically I'm not a huge fan of fruit snacks; there I said it. In my opinion, they are nothing more than candy. I mean, let's be honest....those little gummy things have zero in common with actual fruit. But my daughter adores them. And since we almost exclusively eat organic items in our household, our options were limited to one brand. But folks....there's a new fruit snack in town, & they are pretty awesome.

Tasty Brand was generous enough to send me some of their Organic Fruit Snacks a few months ago & my daughter fell in love with them. When I mentioned that I was having a hard time finding them locally, they were generous enough to send me some more & let me tell you, my daughter was so excited, you would have thought it was Christmas morning! It had been a while since she had tried them, so in the interest of science, I handed them over & then proceeded to grill her for data. Here's what transpired:

Me: "Sweetie, using one word describe what you think of these fruit snacks."

Peanut: "Good." (Now, that may not sound terribly enthusiastic, but "good" is high praise from my daughter. If I told her that I bought her a pony she'd smile & say "Good.")

Me: "OK sweetie, tell Mama another word to describe these fruit snacks."

Peanut: "Um....thank you!"

Yes, thank you sums it up pretty well. As a parent, here's why I say thank you to Tasty Brand for these fruit snacks: They're USDA certified organic. They have no high fructose corn syrup in them. This is huge! They are gluten free, which is fantastic for those who have special diet needs. There are no artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives in these fruit snacks. They are made with real fruit juice. There are only 70 calories per pouch. Heck, they're even vegan!

And I know this may be insignificant to some, but I love that on the box they print things like "Our gummies are made with real fruit juice, but they shouldn't replace real fruit in your diet," "Be tasty...not wasty," & as someone who used to work in the dental field, this is my personal favorite "BTW, never forget to brush & floss!"

Tasty Brand's organic baby food is available here in the NW, but finding the fruit snacks locally might be a challenge. However, you're in luck, because they are currently on sale at Amazon & ship free if your order is over $25 or if you have an Amazon Prime membership. Additionally, you can purchase any of Tasty Brand's products from their website & for a limited time they are offering free ground shipping. You can also click here for a list of retailers that carry their products. And if you're lucky enough to live near one of these locations, head over to one of their Tasty Tastings to score samples, coupons, tote bags, & more! Lastly, email info@tastybaby.com with your mailing address & they will send you a BOGO free coupon.

In the spirit of full disclosure I want you to know that Tasty Brand sent me the second samples of fruit snacks in exchange for a product review. However, I was free to write whatever I felt about the product. I would have blogged about the fruit snacks even without the samples, because I am that thrilled about the product. Even I think they taste great! If your kids (or you!) love fruit snacks, seriously...you owe it to yourself to try these out.

Free Photo Desk Calendar at Walgreens

For three days only (1/21-1/23) Walgreens is offering a free Photo Desk Calendar. Log in to their website (or create an account if you don't have one) & create a desk calendar. Then at checkout enter code: FREE4U & it will bring the total down to zero. I'm not sure if you can pick this item up in store or if you will need to pay for shipping. Still, even if it's several bucks for shipping, this would be a great gift.

I think I'm going to make one & either give it to my husband for his desk at work or possibly my daughter can give it to her grandparents for Valentine's Day.

Thanks to The Thrifty Couple for this find!

Boxing Costume for Kids

This is so adorable I just had to share it with you! Leaps & Bounds has their Champion Boxing Costume on sale for $17.48 (normally $34.95) & if you'd like to personalize it with your child's first of last name, it's only $5 more!

This would be a great Halloween costume for next Oct. or just a great addition to your dress-up chest. I think it would be just as cute on a girl 'cause girls can be hardcore too!

Avenue Cami Panty Separates 2 for $8

Avenue is offering up yet another one day only special & it's just in time to put a little va-va-voom into your Valentine's Day celebration.

Print out this coupon & take it in to your local Avenue today & get cami & panty separates 2 for $8, with a limit of 4 items.

50% off 1 Item at Joann Fabric

I'm not a crafty type of person at all, but if you are, then you're going to love this. Joann Fabric has a coupon out for 50% off any 1 regular priced item. You can also use this online by using the code: EFD21.

This coupon is valid through 1/23/10 & you can print off multiple copies, so you definitely have time to put this to good use.

Thanks to Fistful of Coupons for posting this deal.

More Deals 1/20 Only at Avenue

Avenue has 3 deals today that would make a trip to your local store worth your time. They are:

  • Novelty Embroidered Denim Jacket for $19.99 (regularly $52.90)
  • Favorite Relaxed Easy T Shirt $5.99 (regularly $15.90)
  • Destructed Boyfriend Chino $12.99 (regularly $26.90)

You'll need this coupon, it's valid in-store only & there is a limit of 2 of each item per person. These would be great for spring time & the warmer weather that's coming!

Organic Pomegranate/Acai Water

I've never tried Sonu flavored waters before, but they sound delicious & Amazon is offering a good deal on them. I like the sound of the Pomegranate & Acai flavor! Pomegranate & acai are known for their antioxidant properties & this drink is even certified organic & kosher. Each bottle only has 90 calories as well! A 16 oz bottle of soda would cost more than one bottle of these & doesn't have any health benefits at all, so this is by far a better option.

There are several other flavors to choose from & if your order is over $25 these ship free. Or if you have a membership to Amazon Prime they ship free regardless of your order total.

Kmart BOGO 50% off Sale on Car Seats

If you know me in real life, then you know that I am a car seat geek. I am passionate about keeping kids safe. So this is a deal that I was initially super jazzed about (however my excitement faded a bit, & I'll explain why later).

Through Jan. 23rd Kmart has a Buy One Get One 50% Off sale on car seats. That's a great deal & allows you to have a spare seat for your significant other's car, grandparents, nanny, etc. Or just get a spare in case you have a problem with yours.

Now, here's why I'm not super excited. I'm not a huge fan of the car seats that Kmart offers. However, if you need a seat, it's worth heading into your local Kmart or checking their website to see what they have. Note: They have seats sold at Sears listed online, but this deal is only for seats sold by Kmart, so double check before you place an order.

And remember, the best car seat is the one that fits your child & vehicle the best, regardless of what the clerk tells you.

Foster Farm Whole Chickens 69 cents/lb

My friend Leslie called me today on her way home from Safeway. This week they have Foster Farms fresh whole chickens (not the frozen ones) on sale for 69 cents a pound. That is insane! She bought several & said that hers ranged between $2.50-$3.20 per chicken. For the whole chicken! Come on, most of us spend more on our daily coffee & this is for an entire chicken.

You must have your Safeway Club Card for the discount. This is a definite stock up price on chicken, so run to your local Safeway. Thanks for the tip, Leslie!

Free Movie from Blockbuster Express

Head over ot your local Blockbuster Express kiosk & get a free DVD rental. Use code: G211A2 to score this freebie. Oh, & you have until 1/29/10 to use it, so feel free to do so on the weekend! I'm going to use it ASAP since my daughter is feeling under the weather. We can snuggle on the couch with a free movie!

Thanks to Clippin' with Carie for sharing this.

New Shortcuts eCoupons

Shortcuts just added 28 new eCoupons for you to load on to your store's membership card. When I have a few moments, I'll blog about eCoupons if you're not familiar with them. And if you're not familiar with them, you should be! They may not change your life, but they might come close (ok, so I might be exaggerating just a smidge).

Go take a look at Shortcuts & see if there are any eCoupons that look interesting to you.

Timex iControl Ironman Watch $22.99

So there’s no question that I’m hardly Ironman material, but I still think this watch is pretty cool! My favorite feature is that it wirelessly syncs up with your iPod! How cool is that? You can adjust the volume, pause, fast forward, etc. from the watch and not have to mess with your iPod. This seems like it would be much easier when you’re out for a run or bike ride.

This is available today only on sellout.woot & shipping is $5, but still $27.99 seems like a great deal in my opinion.

Avenue Sweater for $7.99 1/19 only

Wow, Avenue has a special deal every day this week & they've been excellent so far!

Today's deal is their Rollneck sweater for $7.99 (limit 2 per customer). Print out the coupon here & head over to Avenue today to score a great deal.

Is This the Same Blog?

Back when I first got engaged, I almost got into an auto accident because I kept staring at my engagement ring. I feel like that now about my new blog; I can't stop looking at it. Luckily I'm not a danger to anyone on the road every time I steal a glance at my new virtual home.

If you've been reading this blog since the beginning (which wasn't that long ago!) you can't help but notice that things look very different around here. It became apparent to me very quickly that the standard templates a blogger can pick from were not going to cut it for me & so I set out to find a blog designer. Some may wonder why such a new blog would need a blog makeover & I like to think of it this way: The standard templates you can pick from are like a Toyota Corolla; they get the job done, they're reliable, but they aren't real inspiring. I wanted something more like an Audi TT convertible; something that would get the job done & be a heck of a lot more fun!

I was truly blessed to find Angie at Strosgirl's Blog Design & I cannot sing her praises enough. She is amazing to work with. First of all, she took my scattered ideas & turned them into exactly what I wanted but wasn't able to accurately articulate. She seemed to instinctively know what I wanted.

Secondly, the girl is fast. Like....lightening quick. Once I finally made a few crucial decisions, she worked her magic in just a few short days. And she is very quick to get back to you with any questions you may have.

Lastly, she is really quite affordable. As a blogging newbie, I was shocked at what some designers cost. But Angie can create an amazing blog on any budget. Seriously...any budget.

If you're looking for someone to makeover your blog or create a custom Twitter background for you, you owe it to yourself to check out Angie at Strosgirl's Blog Design. She is just an amazingly talented woman & to top if off, she's one cool person. I wish she lived closer so we could hang out, but I suppose that would keep us both from being productive.

Angie, thank you so much for the fantastic design. I'm in love with it & cannot thank you enough!

Mason & the crew from Movin' 92.5 FM will be there hosting this event. They will be playing all the old school games, have inflatable slides, & food to purchase if you get hungry. If you go, just don't wear your Members Only jacket or leg warmers. Some things are better left in the past.

Free Photo Gift Bag

My good friend Andrea gave me a great tip & this had to be passed on!

I had no idea that you could create your own photo gift bags, but you can. Click here & then click on the "Free Bag Promo Code" link & create a Medium sized bag (note: this deal only applies to the medium size). At checkout you should see the promo code: FREEBAG11 & the price of the bag will be free. You will have to pay $3.50 for shipping, but that's really nothing when you consider what a personal touch you're adding to a gift for a loved one.

This deal expires 7/31/10 so you have plenty of time to use the code. Thanks again, Andrea!

Free Shipping from Victoria's Secret

If you're lucky enough to be going on vacation somewhere warm soon, you'll love this deal. Through 1/21/10, Victoria's Secret is offering free shipping on your entire order when you purchase any full priced swimwear item. Use code: SWIMSHIP at checkout.

Free Soap at Bath & Bodyworks

Bath & Bodyworks often releases new coupons & often has a sale going on that you can pair with the coupons. They just released a Free Antibacterial Hand Soap with a $10 purchase coupon. We use their Foaming Antibacterial soap, so this is one I am excited about! If you'd rather shop online, use code: TENAB.

This coupon is valid through 2/21/10 so I plan on using it with one of Bath & Bodyworks sales. I will likely print out several of these & use them all.

Thanks to The Thrifty Couple for posting this!

There's another coupon out for Bath & Bodyworks & this one is for a Free Signature Collection Travel Size Item with any Purchase. I adore these coupons! Since it states any purchase, I always buy one of their hand sanitizers for around $1.50 then get the travel size lotion which costs $5 & throw the lotion into my purse. Yes, you do get the more expensive item for free! The online code is: 1624.

This coupon is valid through 1/27/10. You may be able to combine the 2 coupons by spending $10 & getting the free soap & free travel size item, but YMMV (your mileage may vary depending on the cashier). I've had it happen that way before but you never know what will happen until you're at checkout.

Thanks to Mojo Savings for posting this!

Eat From the Pantry Challenge Update

This week went better, however it's become clear that we are not going to make our goal of spending $200 this month on groceries. I'm hoping we can keep it close, but there is no way we will make our goal.

I made 2 trips to 2 grocery stores this week & my husband ran to the store this afternoon for a few missing ingredients for our dinner tonight. This week we spent $49.59. Adding that to my previous total of $141.01 makes a grand total of $190.60.

We won't have a ton of stuff to buy next week, but I know I will spend more than $9.40. We've tried hard to be intentional with our planning & shopping, but I think we should have been a bit more realistic when we made our goals. Regardless, stay tuned for the final update next week!

Albertsons Doublers

There were 3 Doublers in the Albertsons one page ad in today's paper. They are valid 1/17-1/19. I'm going to sit down tonight & look at the flier & my coupon book & see what I can come up with. If you know what you're going to use yours on, leave a comment!

TomTom GPS Sale

Amazon has a huge sale on TomTom units now through 1/23/10. One of the best deals I saw is the TomTom XXL 540S which features a 5 inch screen (that’s a huge screen for a portable unit!) & normally retails for $299.95 but is on sale for $166.91 with free shipping. Check out all the participating models here then add to your cart to see the price.

Blog makeover almost done

Things will look a lot differently here at BMIM (I know....it's a corny abbreviation but we live in a world of TomKat, Brangalina, Bennifer, etc. so I jumped on the bandwagon) soon. My blog makeover is almost done! I'm uber excited about it & think it will look much better. We're aiming for hip & funky because I want this to be a fun place for you to sit with a cup of coffee & find some great deals & share tips with other readers.

Make sure you come back in the next few days & be prepared for big changes!

Free Kohl's Gift Cards

Certain Kohl’s are scheduled to be remodeled soon, however, they will be open during the remodel. Kohl’s is worried about people staying away during the construction, so to keep customers shopping there, they are giving away $10 Kohl’s Gift Cards that can only be redeemed during the remodel. Smart move on their part!

They are giving these away with any purchase. I know someone who purchased a Tommy Hilfiger shirt for $3.60 on clearance & received the $10 Kohl’s card. Pretty sweet if you ask me!

The participating locations that were on the back of her receipt are:
  • Spring Hill, IL
  • Sterling, VA
  • Gaithersburg, Bel Air, MD
  • Garland, East Plano, McKinney, TX
  • Battleground, NC
  • Knoxville-East, TN
  • Acworth, Woodstock, GA
  • Oak Creek, WI
  • Massapequa, NY
  • Huntington, WV
  • Wichita E., KS
  • SE Tulsa, Owasso, OK
  • Lee’s Summit, MO

There might be more locations undergoing a remodel, so it would be worth your time to call & ask. The cards are valid 1/31/10 through 2/9/10 & are valid in store only.

Babies R Us Coupons

There are tons of coupons on here for everything from car seats to diapers. These expire on 1/21/10 so you don't have a ton of time to use them, but you can score some great deals with these. Happy shopping!

Click here to print them out.

Boise, ID deals

According to Fistful of Coupons there are several stores in the Boise area going out of business. It's always sad to see businesses shutting their doors, but if they are going to....snag a deal if you can.

  • The Disney store is closing & has everything marked down at least 25%. I'm sure the discounts get better as the store gets closer to actually closing, but it's likely the inventory will also get more picked over.
  • New York & Co. in the Boise Town Square Mall is closing & everything is $5.99. Yes, everything is marked down to $5.99.
  • Macy's in downtown Boise is closing as well. Everything is 50% off. If I lived closer, I'd go stock up on their Hotel bedding & bath items!

If you live near Boise this is your time to stock up for birthdays. Or treat yourself to something new; at these prices you won't have to worry about the guilt.
