My friend Leslie called me today on her way home from Safeway. This week they have Foster Farms fresh whole chickens (not the frozen ones) on sale for 69 cents a pound. That is insane! She bought several & said that hers ranged between $2.50-$3.20 per chicken. For the whole chicken! Come on, most of us spend more on our daily coffee & this is for an entire chicken.
You must have your Safeway Club Card for the discount. This is a definite stock up price on chicken, so run to your local Safeway. Thanks for the tip, Leslie!
