I've told you before....I'm a car seat geek. I'm very passionate about child safety, so I love, love, love this freebie!
If you gave birth or adopted a baby within the last 6 months or are pregnant, you can get a free car seat ID tag. Why should you have a car seat ID tag? I'm glad you asked! In the event of an auto accident (God forbid!) & your seat was either ejected from the car (double God forbid!) or if you were unable to communicate with rescue workers, they would have your child's name, age, height, weight, doctor's phone number, emergency contact number, any known allergies, any existing medical conditions, & a medical release signature. I know this isn't something any parent or parent to be wants to think about, but it is extremely important info to have on the seat. Your child will be strapped in there & it's the first thing an emergency worker will look for.
Click here for details. You must either sign up for a baby registry at My Precious Kid, follow their blog (& follow BMIM while you're at it!), follow them on Twitter, sign up for their newsletter, or become a fan on Facebook (& do so for BMIM as well!). Then email your address, due date or birth/adoption date, & which of the things stated to qualify that you did.
Also, it states "limit one free card per child" so if you're having multiples, you should still be able to get one for each child's seat!
